Gerald ”Jerry” Allen Crawford Sr. of Isle, MN passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin. He was 85 years old.
Jerry was born on August 9, 1940 in Minneapolis, MN to Lloyd and Margaret (Varner) Crawford. He worked as a barber and also in his dads mechanic shop. He would tell a story of how he made a part that went to the moon (always saying he had DNA on the moon). Jerry was a volunteer fire fighter in Long Lake.
He moved to Isle in 1976 and bought a resort where he met his wife, Joan. He went on to become a part time farmer and also did embroidery pictures, giving them to the ladies. He made many fishing rods, each one of them a prize. He loved hunting, fishing, watching birds and chasing squirrels.
Jerry is preceded in death by his three sons, Todd, Sean and Timothy; parents Lloyd and Margaret and sisters, LaDonna and Carmen.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 49 years, Joan; his son, Gerald Crawford Jr. (Jackie); many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wahkon. Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. at the church. Inurnment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

SOOOOO SORRY THAT WE LOST ANOTHER CLASSMATE. JERRY WAS ONE OF THE GOOD GUYS. SWEET, FUNNY, CAREING. NEVER PUTTING ANYONE DOWN. NEVER KNEW WHAT HE WAS UP TO. SOMETHING CRAZY OR FUNNY.
