Reunion Survey Results
1. Should we have another reunion?
a. There were 30 responses, all positive.
2. How soon should we get together again?
a. 53% indicated 5 years.
b. 47% indicated less than 5 years.
3. What kind of event?
a. 42 % indicated multiple days.
b. 21% indicated a single day.
c. Dinner was preferred to lunch.
4. Where should we get together?
a. In order of preference – Park, Resort/Hotel (tied), Restaurant, Boat cruise.
5. Would you like to be on the organizing committee?
a. 17 willing to help.
b. 13 declined.
6. Would you like to lead the organizing committee?
a. One person said yes; all others declined.
7. Should there be a program?
a. 14 said “I’d just rather visit”.
b. 16 liked the idea of a program to varying degrees, mostly just keep it simple. Everyone voted for Dean.
8. Additional ideas and suggestions (we really got some good ones!)
a. A large private room where we could have hors d’oeuvres instead of a sit-down meal – allows for more mingling.
b. Start earlier in the day to avoid night driving.
c. Announce any special guests.
d. Have it during warm weather and long daylight hours.
e. Name tags that can be pinned/clipped to clothes instead of hanging around the neck. Easier to read.
f. Should get together as often as possible, at least every 2 or 3 years.
g. Only negative was the cramped space on Friday night and the darkness going from the Lodge to the parking lot.
Regarding the Multi-Year Reunion question –
· There were 14 responses, evenly divided between Yes and No.
· Of the Yes responses, the majority would include the classes of 1959 and 1961.
· Negatives
o would rather have the time to spend with just our class.
o A lot of work gathering all those names for additional years, and would depend on the wants of those classes.
· Have a 70th birthday party (2012), then in 6 years have a multi-year reunion.
